At Pickles Childcare, we can look after babies from the age of three months. With a specialist area for babies away from other age groups, your baby will be in a safe, caring environment with our experienced and qualified staff. We always go the extra mile to ensure babies are well looked after and have plenty of stimulation, with opportunities to play, socialise and get some fresh air.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CHILDCARE FOR YOUR BABY?

  • Staff to baby ratio is 1:3, in accordance with OFSTED regulations.
  • Babies each have their own keyworker, who is chosen specifically for them based on who they have bonded with.
  • Your baby is looked after by their keyworker on a daily basis and their progress is monitored closely. You will receive daily communication and a day sheet, so you always know how your baby is getting on.
  • You can have meetings with us whenever you like to discuss anything to do with your child, their care and their progress.
  • Our baby care facilities are a safe space for your child. People can only gain access if they have a key fob or are personally let in by a member of staff.
  • All babies will be guaranteed a place at nursery and preschool, for the same days and sessions they attend as a baby. We see them through until the go to school.
  • We help support the routines you have established at home. Babies have space for napping, playing and for outdoor fun.

We know just how busy you are as a parent. We are conveniently located in Beckenham and we have a range of session times you can select. Many nurseries just have standard full day or half day options – not us. We make sure our childcare options are as flexible as possible.

WHAT WILL YOUR BABY BE DOING DURING A TYPICAL DAY AT PICKLES?

Routine is important for babies and important for you. At Pickles childcare, we make sure all babies are established in a routine, napping together and playing together to help support their development.

We make sure babies get fresh air daily in our on-site garden. We are well known in the local area for our Pickles Bus, which we use to take babies out in a group.

Babies have more one to one time with the people who look after them, so we can monitor them closely and make sure they are happy.

Playing

We specifically design activities that are suitable for younger age groups. Our babies love treasure baskets – they’re full of goodies to explore on the spot, so even young babies can get involved.

Napping

Our babies have a calm space to sleep, so they can nap as much as they need to and you can rest assured their daily routine won’t be disrupted.
